Financial results of Capital Group Stalexport Autostrady in 1H 2014

A significant increase in the traffic on the concession section of A4 motorway, more revenue and decrease in the financial expenses resulted in a higher net profit compared with the corresponding period of the previous year. Stalexport Autostrady Group has summed up the first half-year of 2014.
In the first half of the current year, Stalexport Autostrady Group generated revenue in the amount of PLN 104.5 million. A significant share in Stalexport Autostrady Group’s revenue is represented by the activity related to management of the concession section of the A4 Katowice-Kraków motorway, which the Group’s entity, i.e. Stalexport Autostrada Małopolska S.A., is responsible for. In the first six month of the current year, the Company’s revenue on toll collection at the motorway amounted to PLN 102.6 million.
The improvement in the Group’s result, compared with the first half-year of the previous year, is due to, inter alia, a continuing increase of the traffic level on the A4 Katowice-Kraków section. In the first six month of the current year, the concession section of the A4 was used by 10.5% more vehicles than in the corresponding period of 2013. This increase is both due to passenger cars (10%) as well as trucks (13%).
The improvement of Stalexport Autostrady Group’s financial indices, compared with the results of the corresponding period of the previous year, is also due to the decrease in financial expenses and maintenance of the discipline of operating expenses, including general administrative expenses. As a result, the Group recorded net profit in the amount of PLN 28.7 million.
